Meet
the Band
Copus
Hill is a Bluegrass group from the Mansfield / Ashland Ohio area.
They are made up of 5 talented individuals of various ages, and
when you combine age and know how (the veteran pickers) with youth
and eagerness (the young guns) it makes for an awesome sound.
Copus Hill plays a variety of music, from traditional, to some
newgrass, and even throw in some of there own original music just
for good measure. Give them a listen, we're sure you will be pleased.
We
just have a great time together and it shows in our playing and
our stage act. You'll be greeted to some good honest bluegrass
for your money and you'll enjoy our original materal as well.
We've played places big and small, from family reunions to the
Mohican Bluegrass Festival and the Johnny Appleseed pavilion.
You can count on Copus Hill to provide the very best in bluegrass
music around. Contact us for your event and we'll be happy to
send you a demo CD and information about the services we provide.
Most
of all, we all love the music and it shows in our pride and dedication
to this fine Americana music we adore... Bluegrass Music. It don't
get any better than this!

Jesse Cains
Guitar
Player
Jesse Cains
is our lastest addition. We were needing an extra voice for our
harmonies, we bumped into Jesse while he was playin' with a country
band, he explained how he always wanted to play bluegrass, tried
him out, and the rest is history. He brings a fine tenor/lead
voice to Copus Hill that we so much needed. Jesse also lives in
Mansfield with his wife Shirley and 2 little children.

banjo player. He sings baritone on most songs, and lead on a few.
He was inspired to play bluegrass in the early 70's by fellow
steel workers/pickers Radford Vance and Larry Garris. Mike has
played in numorous bands over the years. The last being "Backwoods".
Mike resides outside of Lucas Ohio, has 4 kids, 2 grandkids and
a dog.

Mitch Ball
Mandolin/Guitar
Player
Mitch Ball
plays the mandolin, but will swap it for a guitar in the middle
of a song and rip off some big ole wild break, then jump back
on mandolin and finish the song.. Mitch grew up in a house where
there were always pickers in and out, so some of it must have
rubbed off. Just not sure who the rock an roller was that snuck
in, cause he likes playin' that as well, but were workin on him.
Mitch lives in Mansfield and loves spending time with his 2 little darling
daughters.
